When I woke up this morning, I got onto my phone and checked Facebook – one of my usual things I do when I wake up. I kept seeing comments about the roads being slick, advising to take extra time form driving, and people unhappy about having to shovel. I figured we had gotten one of our measly dustings that are common in the winter. The type of snow dustings that makes everyone seem to conviently forget (once again) how to drive in the snow.
And then I walked outside to go to work and found this…
Mother Nature apparently needed to remind Minnesota that it is only mid-January, and she isn’t finished with us yet.
That’s right, ladies and gents, a nice, fresh 4″+ of white fluffy snow. And it’s all new, because my car was clean last night when I got home from work.
If only I didn’t have to work today, I may have taken a trip to the local sledding hill with J! To be a kid again and wake up to this kind of snow. Just to head outside and play all day without a care in the world! Oh adulthood…taking all the fun away.
